Oh, hello. The month of May has been pretty good to me and I hope you’ve been enjoying the gorgeous weather as much as I have. I’ve spent time falling back in love with yoga and taking quiet walks in nature. Social media has barely been on my mind and it was a nice break, but… there is so much happening that I’m back and ready to share!
One. Robin Hood’s Faire
I have been looking forward to Robin Hood’s Faire since I attended last year. Monday, May 29th will not only be the last day of this Spring’s season but it will also be the last day EVER Robin Hood will be held in Connecticut, next year it moves to Massachusetts. As PK pointed out, I will most likely travel for it next Spring, but it just won’t be the same. It won’t be the same as in I can’t easily visit the Book Barn or Mystic afterwards.
After three years of hard work, PK will be graduating from his MBA program next week! We have been looking for ways to celebrate and this came across our radar.
We are still two weeks away, but I have been seeing these signs popping up everywhere in Connecticut. There are so many options for Connecticut Open House Day I’m not sure where we’ll end up. Suggestions are welcome! Head over to the CT Visit website and check out everything that will be going on!
Four. Salem Arts Festival
Next weekend my favorite non-Connecticut coastal town will be holding an arts festival. Will this make an appearance in my weekend itinerary? I sure hope so.
Five. Kayak Season Begins
Technically, you can kayak all year round. However, the state parks and reservoirs begin their season this weekend. I’m looking forward to getting back out on the water and discovering new waterways. What are some of your favorite places to kayak or hike in New England?
