Hello. I’m Kate and I’m from Connecticut. Although if you’re any good at context clues you may have figured that out already.
After seven years in NYC I’ve moved back home. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, also that “grass” is sometimes ridiculously expensive. I may owe my first born as part of some alternate side parking violation.
NYC will make regular appearances here as my best friend and fiance, PK, is still in school there. How does a relationship between two states work? It just does, and you’ll have to come back to learn more about it. It’s interesting, I promise.
The focus of what I write here will revolve around my favorite interests in life: crafts, books, day trips and most importantly craft beer.
I decided the best way to make an Irish New Yorker like PK to fall in love with Connecticut as much as me would be through beer. It’s working.
Some other things to know about me:
I love books (House Slytherin. House Greyjoy. Deal with it.)
I mourn the loss of 30 Rock daily.
I crochet. I kayak. I hike. I love all things weird and whimsical.
I dream of living in a Victorian-era home in Salem.
If you like these things too we’ll get along just fine. If not, give me a chance and I’ll convince you.
